Vietnamese Studies
Following the success of the six previous conferences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) will co-organize the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies in 2025, in Hanoi.
1. Objectives
To summarize and evaluate achievements, facilitate academic exchange and experience sharing in Vietnamese studies, thereby proposing directions and solutions for the development of Vietnamese Studies both domestically and internationally. The goal is to provide scientific and practical foundations to serve the national cause of construction, protection, and development in the new era – the era of national resurgence.
To identify key and urgent issues essential for Vietnam’s sustainable development in the context of global change, globalization trends, and the national development requirements of the new era.
To propose macro and micro-level solutions to awaken development aspirations, mitigate risks, and promote Vietnam’s potential and advantages. The goal is to implement the Party’s Resolutions and national development strategies in real life, aiming to build a strong, prosperous, and happy nation.
To expand exchange and cooperation, enhance the global Vietnamese Studies network; promote education and research on Vietnam both domestically and globally; publicize the image of the country and Vietnamese people; and convey Vietnamese values to the academic community, the overseas Vietnamese population, and people around the world.
To create a large-scale academic forum of international stature, marking it as a major science and technology event of the year in celebration of national historical milestones, especially the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
