FORMATTING GUIDELINES
IN THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE 7TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON VIETNAMESE STUDIES
1. Abstract format
– Article title: Font size 14, UPPERCASE, bold, centered.
– Author/Author Group Name: one line space from the title, font size 13, lowercase, bold, right aligned. Affiliation: one line space, font size 13, italic, right aligned.
– Abstract: lowercase, clearly presenting the main content, not exceeding 400 words. Keywords: lowercase, italic, list 3–5 keywords reflecting the main topic.
Theme: Thematic panel name (choose 1 of 8 thematic panels). Corresponding Correspond author: Email, phone number, font size 12, italic
Note: Authors must submit both Vietnamese and English versions of the abstract.
2. Full paper format
– Paper size: A4; Font: Times New Roman; font size: 13; line spacing: 3pt, multiple line: 1.15; margins: left 3 cm, right 2 cm, top and bottom 2.5 cm. Maximum length: 20 pages, written in Vietnamese or English. – Section headings: First-level headings: (1., 2.) lowercase, bold; Second-level headings: (1.1, 1.2) lowercase, bold, italic; Third-level headings: (1.1.1, 1.2.1) lowercase, italic.
3. Citation
– Use footnotes for citations and explanations. Number footnotes continuously throughout the page. Font size for footnotes: 10.
+ Books: Author (year), Title,Volume (if any), Publisher, Place of publication, page (p.).
+ Journal articles: Author (year), “Title of article”, Journal name, issue, page (p.)
– From the second citation onward, use standard abbreviations: ‘op. cit.’, ‘ibid.’
4. Tables, charts, diagrams, maps
– Table numbers and titles: above the table content (font size 13, lowercase, bold, centered). The source of the table (if any) is placed at the bottom of the table. – Chart, diagram, and map numbers and titles: below the content (font size 13, lowercase, bold, centered). The source (if any) is placed below the title.
