In addition to in-depth presentations, the Conference will feature an open discussion session with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Central Committee for Strategy and Policy, the World Bank, IMF, VNU University of Economics and Business, the Institute of Vietnamese and World Economies, the Economic and Policy Committee of the National Assembly, as well as international scholars – including Prof. Andreas Hauskrecht (Kelley School of Business, Indiana University) and experts from Osaka University.

This will be an important forum where scientists, policymakers, and international organizations exchange ideas and dialogue on breakthrough solutions toward Vietnam’s sustainable development goals.

With the participation of distinguished speakers, the Conference chaired by the VNU University of Economics and Business promises to deliver profound analyses and practical policy recommendations, contributing to creating new growth drivers for Vietnam’s economy in this transformative era. CALL FOR PAPERS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
“Vietnam’s diplomacy and international cooperation in the new era”

Every 4 years, the International Conference on Vietnamese Studies (ICVS) is organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences for national and international scholars to present their research results, provide policy recommendations and research directions to the leaders of the country and all stakeholders around the world. Within the framework of the 7th ICVS this year, VNU University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) is assigned to host a pre-ICVS international conference on “Vietnam’s diplomacy and international cooperation in the new era”.
The organizers hereby call for your contributions; details are as follows:
1.Conference theme: Vietnam’s diplomacy and international cooperation in the new era.
2.Date: 09 August, 2025 (possibly from 8-12am Hanoi time).
3.Venue: ULIS – SUNWAH Building, 144 Xuan Thuy Road, Cau Giay, Hanoi, Vietnam.
4.Format: Onsite and online via Zoom Meeting (hybrid).
5.Forms of contributions:
a.Conference papers: abstracts in English (no more than 350 words and 5 keywords) and full-texts (4,000-6,000 words, citation and references in APA7 format, .docx) in the language of your expertise (preferably in English if possible) before 10th July, 2025.

-ULIS bears all expenses for the organization of the Conference.

IN THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE 7TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON VIETNAMESE STUDIES

1. Abstract format

– Article title: Font size 14, UPPERCASE, bold, centered.

– Author/Author Group Name: one line space from the title, font size 13, lowercase, bold, right aligned. Affiliation: one line space, font size 13, italic, right aligned.

– Abstract: lowercase, clearly presenting the main content, not exceeding 400 words. Keywords: lowercase, italic, list 3–5 keywords reflecting the main topic.

Theme: Thematic panel name (choose 1 of 8 thematic panels). Corresponding Correspond author: Email, phone number, font size 12, italic

Note: Authors must submit both Vietnamese and English versions of the abstract.

2. Full paper format

– Paper size: A4; Font: Times New Roman; font size: 13; line spacing: 3pt, multiple line: 1.15; margins: left 3 cm, right 2 cm, top and bottom 2.5 cm. Vietnamese Studies

Following the success of the six previous conferences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) will co-organize the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies in 2025, in Hanoi.

1. Objectives

To summarize and evaluate achievements, facilitate academic exchange and experience sharing in Vietnamese studies, thereby proposing directions and solutions for the development of Vietnamese Studies both domestically and internationally. The goal is to provide scientific and practical foundations to serve the national cause of construction, protection, and development in the new era – the era of national resurgence.
To identify key and urgent issues essential for Vietnam’s sustainable development in the context of global change, globalization trends, and the national development requirements of the new era.
To propose macro and micro-level solutions to awaken development aspirations, mitigate risks, and promote Vietnam’s potential and advantages. The goal is to implement the Party’s Resolutions and national development strategies in real life, aiming to build a strong, prosperous, and happy nation.
To expand exchange and cooperation, enhance the global Vietnamese Studies network; promote education and research on Vietnam both domestically and globally; publicize the image of the country and Vietnamese people; and convey Vietnamese values to the academic community, the overseas Vietnamese population, and people around the world.
To create a large-scale academic forum of international stature, marking it as a major science and technology event of the year in celebration of national historical milestones, especially the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
